Soul Knight Prequel SS1 Optimization Overview
Release time: 2025-01-14
Hello Knights! SS1: Avarice is set to launch on January 21, 2025. Let's take a look at the optimizations and new features coming this season!
New Features
Saga of Valor
The Saga of Valor is a brand-new feature debuting in SS1, exclusive to pure seasonal characters. It unlocks as your character reaches specific levels and can be accessed by clicking the “Saga of Valor” button in the upper-right corner of the game interface.
The Saga of Valor consists of five chapters, each with a set of corresponding quests. Completing these quests grants you rewards. Once all quests in a chapter are completed, you can claim the chapter rewards and unlock the next chapter.
Tip: Quest progress is shared across pure seasonal characters under the same account, and rewards can only be claimed once per season.
Claiming chapter rewards provides drop bonuses exclusive to pure seasonal characters during SS1. These bonuses expire at the end of the season. If the required number of quests in the current chapter isn’t completed, “Requirements not met” will appear, and the bonuses won’t activate.
Reminder: Rewards in the Saga of Valor will be reset after SS1 ends.
Progression Palooza
Progression Palooza is a new feature introduced in SS1, unlocked when pure seasonal characters reach a specific level. Once unlocked, you can access it by clicking the "New Specs" button in the top-right corner of the game interface.
Rewards can only be earned by completing quests in the Progression Palooza using the Assassin, Bastion, or Lifebinder classes. Complete a set number of quests to claim the ultimate reward: an I-Weapon Bundle (Lvl.60)! When the Riftvoker launches, a separate Progression Palooza will be available—stay tuned!
Note: Quest progress is shared among pure seasonal characters under the same account, and rewards can only be claimed once per season.
Reminder: The "Progression Palooza" will close at the end of SS1. Unfinished quests will no longer be available, and unclaimed rewards cannot be retrieved.
New Legendary Equipment
SS1 introduces 10 new legendary pieces of gear! Check out the details in the infographic below:
Feature Integration
In the new season, Pull Eidolons, Looty Chest, and other features will be integrated into the "Wishes".
Feature Optimization
Wishlist
The new season introduces the Wishlist feature. You can select the desired gear in the wishlist before opening the chests. Legendary gear obtained from these chests is guaranteed to match items on the wishlist, though the Fatebounds and modifiers on the gear will be randomly generated.
For every 20 chests of any type opened, you'll receive a guaranteed Legendary item with three legendary-quality affixes. If no wishlist gear is selected, the item will be randomly chosen from all available gear.
Enhance All
In the new season, a "Enhance All" button will be added. It automatically enhances your slots based on the available Enhansor Fragments.
Other In-Game Adjustments
Drop Adjustments
In the new season, the Insane gear will drop in Heroic difficulty.
Storyline Adjustments
We've streamlined the beginner's guide, speeding up the process of creating your chivalric order and exploring Chillstead Village. The basement guide has been removed and will now unlock automatically once you enter the village.
New Gacha Skins
After the SS1 starts, the Gachapon Dispenser will feature a new "Supramundial" series of skins!
In the mountain streams and dense forests, monkeys gather in droves, responding to a call. The Great Sage, unfettered by woes, unbound in spirit; clad in mail of interlocking gold, crowned with the amethium diadem phoenix-winged.
But who knows what challenges await in the future—how will the path to saving all life unfold? Ah, this isn't something Wukong should worry about!

countenance and striking of form, three peaks of the phoenix crown adorn his head, and a tri-pronged double-edge spear firm in hand. Oh, you ask about the Howling Celestial Dog? Even he deserves a change of companion from time to time!

Quick updates:
- In Avaricious Gambit, the Treasureloom will feature specific gear quality rules: On higher difficulty levels in Helxar-touched dungeons, only Legendary gear will appear.
- Forgeability Vouchers and Smelting Vouchers are not shared between permanent and pure seasonal characters.
- Avarice now unlocks at character level 50. Only Legendary and Insane gear above level 50 can undergo Avarice enhancement, and the offering gear must match in level, quality, and slot type. Additionally, both the offering and gear must belong to the same season!
That's all for the SS1 Greed season updates—see you on January 21!
