Soul Knight Prequel: Spring Festival Event is Here! Defeat the Yearbeast for Tons of Rewards!
Release time: 2025-01-19
Greetings, Knights! Soul Knight Prequel SS1: Avarice launches on January 21, 2025, alongside the in-game Spring Festival event!
After last year’s crushing defeat, the Yearbeast retreated to its lair in shame. However, its distant relative, Nian—the rampaging Yearbeast—is back to wreak havoc this New Year!
Event Duration
January 21, 2025, 11:00 AM – February 13, 2025, 4:00 AM (UTC+8)
The Yearhunt
During the event, permanent characters or pure seasonal characters at level 26 or above can access the event interface via the "The Yearhunt" button in the top-right corner. Yearhunt features two modes: Non-Endless Mode and Endless Mode. Note: The event is only available in single-player mode.
Non-Endless Mode
Non-Endless Mode includes four difficulty levels: Novice, Normal, Hard, and Extremely Hard. Each difficulty presents the Yearbeast with a different max life, scaling higher as the difficulty increases. Clearing one difficulty unlocks the next. Note that progress in unlocking difficulties is character-specific within the same account.
Example: If you clear Extremely Hard using Character A, Character B will still need to start from Novice difficulty when participating in the Yearhunt.
There’s no limit to how many times you can attempt the Yearhunt, but each run is time-limited. To clear a difficulty, you’ll need to deplete the Yearbeast’s life within the allotted time. Rewards are determined by the amount of life you’ve managed to take down during the attempt.
When challenging the Yearbeast, the left side of the game screen displays "Total DMG" and "Next Reward," while the remaining time for the current attempt is shown beneath the Yearbeast's life bar.
Settlement Rules
The end screen varies depending on the Yearbeast life defeated when the timer expires:
- Victory: If you deplete the Yearbeast’s life within the time limit, the hunt is deemed Hunt Successful. You’ll receive all rewards for that difficulty and unlock the next level.
- Defeat: If you fail to deplete the Yearbeast’s life within the time limit or are defeated in battle, the hunt is deemed Hunt Concluded. You’ll still receive rewards corresponding to the life defeated but won’t unlock the next difficulty.
Rewards for the four difficulties—Novice, Normal, Hard, and Extremely Hard—can only be claimed once per account and cannot be repeated.
Endless Mode
The Endless difficulty becomes available once the Extremely Hard difficulty has been successfully cleared.
In Endless Mode, the Yearbeast has multiple life bars. Each time you deplete one life bar, the Yearbeast grows stronger. Additionally, life orbs will spawn upon depleting each of the Yearbeast’s life bars that, when touched, grants an opportunity for life regen - make use of it well!
The rewards for Endless mode are based on the number of life bars the player is able to deplete, and also reset on a daily basis.
After completing a hunt, you can choose to spend gems for a Quickhunt. The rewards from Quickhunt will be based on your personal All-Time Best score.
Endless Leaderboard
High scores achieved in Endless mode will be tallied to a Leaderboard to be pitted against other players. Battle it out with other Knights—who will prove to be the true "Hunt Master"?
Note: Only the best score achieved within the same day will be tallied to the Leaderboard.
Leaderboard rewards are granted based on the highest rank achieved by the same account, with one reward per account.
New Eidolon: Foxsune Eidolon
In the new season, we're introducing the legendary "Foxsune" Eidolon. It will be available through Pull Eidolons and other Spring Festival events. Get ready to experience it when the events launch!
Quick Update:
In the new season, Volcanic Hephaestites will only drop in Helxar-touched dungeons and Trial of Embers. The drop rate stays the same, and you won’t need to pay to get them. You can still earn Volcanic Hephaestites by opening Looty Chests.
