Opening Time and Method
After Dragonkeel Feast launches, the Trial of Embers will be available to characters who have unlocked Challenge difficulty or higher and will remain as a permanent feature in S2. You can find the entrance at the pond in the upper left corner of the map.
The Trial of Embers difficulty is determined by the player's character level:
- For characters above level 60, the Trial of Embers is set to Extreme difficulty.
- For characters above level 50, the Trial of Embers is set to Heroic difficulty.
- For characters above level 45, the Trial of Embers is set to Challenging difficulty.
- For characters below level 45, the Trial of Embers is set to Normal difficulty.
Additionally, the equipment level obtained from Embercast Chests corresponds to the highest unlocked game difficulty. For instance, if the player's character level is 60 with Heroic difficulty unlocked, they face Extreme difficulty in the Trial of Embers, but receive equipment based on Heroic difficulty.
Embers & Vault of Embers
Embers & Enkindlement
Embers are in-game items introduced with the Trial of Embers. You can check your current Ember count in the Trial of Embers interface or in your Backpack. The number of Embers is shared among all characters on the same account.
Upon entering the Trial of Embers, you need to cast Embers to commence challenges. Embers can Enkindle Trial bosses, giving them additional abilities. Embers come in three types: Amethyst, Aquamarine, and Amber. The rewards you receive after defeating the enkindled bosses will vary according to each type of Enkindlement. The bosses you encounter in the Trial of Embers are those you have previously defeated on the map, excluding exclusive bosses such as Dieter Rottentail. If a character has not defeated a certain boss, that boss will not appear in the Trial of Embers.
Friendly reminder: There is a storage limit for Embers. Each type of Ember can store up to 6000.
If you fail the challenge, the Embers you used will be refunded. Upon defeating the Boss, you will receive extra rewards based on the number of Embers used, in addition to the regular drops. To claim all rewards, open the Embercast Chest after winning the battle!
Vault of Embers
You can visit Vault of Embers to claim Embers daily. The Vault of Embers refreshes weekly. As long as you log in on any day of the week, you can claim all Embers from previous days of that week.
