Mid-Season Update Highlights for S2 Mechacrisis

S2 has been live for a while now. How has your adventure in Esoteria been?
We've received feedback and suggestions from some players since the launch of S2, and to enhance your gaming experience, we'll be making some optimizations and adjustments soon. These include Class Balance Adjustments, Equipment Tweaks, and the introduction of New Gameplay. The update will be applied via a Flash Patch on June 3, 2024. Let's dive into the details!
Class Balance Adjustments
In S2, we've noticed some imbalances among the classes. To improve the gaming experience and reduce the development costs, we're addressing the gap between Attack Power and Magic Power that leads to a noticeable reduction in Hybrid Attack Power. This update will adjust the calculation method for Hybrid Attack Power.
Initial Classes
Voidfarer: Adjusting skill cooldowns
- Reduced the cooldown of Dark Whispers. The cooldown will be shortened from "3s/2.5s/2s/1.5s" to "2s/1.5s/1s/0.5s." When the skill level reaches 5 or above, the cooldown will no longer be reduced. Instead, the percentage damage will increase progressively from "5% of max life" to "6%/7%/8%/9% of max life."
Thief: Increasing skill effect damage
- Increased the percentage damage of Grievous Wounds's Exsanguination effect on bosses from 3% to 5%.
Prestige Classes
Dreadknight: Enhancing survivability and skill damage
- (1) Added the skill effect of Bloodcurdling Roar, which allows Blood Rosin to absorb damage when expelled. Adjusted the recovery effect of the skill Bloodcurdling Roar from "restore 15%/20%/25%/30% of Strength as life" to "restore 9%/12%/15%/18% of max life."
- (2) Increased the skill damage of Dark Maelstrom from "deals 150%/180%/210%/240% dark/bludgeon damage" to "deals 180%/240%/300%/360% Dark/Dludgeon Damage". Added a new skill effect: Damage increases with consecutive casts.
- (3) Increased the All Damage bonus brought by Dark Covenant from "all damage +60%/90%/120%/150%" to "all damage +80%/120%/160%/200%". Damage reduction will no longer reduce damage to negative values.
Necromancer: Adjusting skill effects
- (1) Reduced the rate at which resurrected units lose life after using Lazarus Wave.
- (2) Adjusted the skill effect of Possess so that characters possessed by nearby minions no longer lose life.
Dark Ranger: Increasing skill damage
- (1) Increased the skill damage of Nightpiercer from "deals 90%/120%/150%/180% dark damage" to "deals 150%/200%/250%/300% dark damage". The number of Piercings increased from 3 times to "3/4/5/6 times," the final Piercings count will be influenced by Archer's passive skill, Piercing Arrows.
- (2) Increased the skill damage of Atrophic Barrage when casting projectile attacks from "deals 200%/240%/280%/320% Dark Damage" to "deals 240%/300%/360%/420% Dark Damage", reduced skill cooldown from "6s/5s/4s/3s" to "2s."
Astral Mage: Increasing skill damage
- Increased the skill damage of Excantation: Iridescence from "deals 90%/120%/150%/180% dark damage" to "deals 120%/160%/200%/240% dark damage."
Assassin: Increasing skill effect damage
- Increased the damage bonus to Bleeding targets in Merciless from "when dealing Bleeding Damage, damage increases by 30%/40%/50%/60%" to "when dealing Bleeding Damage, damage increases by 30%/45%/60%/75%."
Shinobi: Adjusting skill cooldowns
- When Shadowclone Jutsu: Throng reaches level 5 or above, progressively reduce cooldown from "18s" to "15s/12s/9s."
Stormshaman: Reducing skill cooldowns and increasing skill damage
- (1) Reduced the cooldown of Supercharged in Elemental Overload from 4s to 1s, increased the all damage bonus in Supercharged state from "all damage +24%/+32%/+40%/+48%" to "All Damage +30%/+40%/+50%/+60%". Added new skill effect: In Supercharged state, Cold Damage +15%/+20%/+25%/+30%, Shock Damage +15%/+20%/+25%/+30%.
- (2) Increased the skill damage of Ancestral Spirit both when not triggering the Supercharged state and when in the Supercharged state. When not triggering the Supercharged state, increased from "deals 90%/120%/150%/180% Shock Damage" to "deals 120%/160%/200%/240% Shock Damage", when in the Supercharged state, increased from "deals 180%/240%/300%/360% Shock Damage" to "deals 210%/280%/350%/420% Shock Damage."
Farstrider: Increasing skill damage
- (1) Increased the skill damage of Rain of Arrows: Syl from "deals 60%/70%/80%/90% Poison Damage" to "deals 60%/80%/100%/120% Poison Damage."
- (2) Increased the skill damage of Savaging Shot from "deals 390%/520%/650%/780% Poison Damage" to "deals 450%/600%/750%/900% Poison Damage."
- (3) Added new skill effect to Trophy Hunter, granting "dodge chance +9/+15/+21/+27" for each stack of designated effect gained (by killing enemies).
Bastion: Adjusting skill effects
- Adjusted the skill effect of Rebuke, so that when Rebuke is used, the summoned Automech Arbalest will also use Rebuke simultaneously.
Soulkeeper: Increasing skill damage
- Increased the damage caused by Soul Shackle to the shackled target from "deals 15%/20%/25%/30% damage" to "deals 20%/30%/40%/50% damage".

Fatebound Adjustments
Meditation
- The 2-piece set effect is adjusted from "Cooldown speed +30%" to "Cooldown speed +40%".
- The 3-piece set effect is adjusted from "Cooldown speed +60%" to "Cooldown speed +80%".
Meditation (Helxar-Touched)
- Adjusted from "Skill cooldown speed -10%, effect cooldown speed +30%" to "Skill cooldown speed -10%, effect cooldown speed +40%".
Mana Buffer
- The 2-piece set effect is adjusted from "Mana cost -25%, Damage Offset by Mana +25%" to "Mana cost -30%, Damage Offset by Mana +30%".
- The 3-piece set effect is adjusted from "Mana cost -50%, Damage Offset by Mana +50%" to "Mana cost -60%, Damage Offset by Mana +60%".
Mana Buffer (Helxar-Touched)
- The effect is adjusted from "Damage resistance +25%" to "Damage resistance +30%".
Chip Effect Adjustments
Proximal Warp Drive
- Added a skill effect to all types of Proximal Warp Drive chips: Skill can be stored 3 times.
Speedy Cooldown
- Reduced the skill cooldown time for Speedy Cooldown, Speedy Cooldown: Backup, and Speedy Cooldown: Panorama from "16s cooldown" to "12s cooldown". The chip effect "Speed up 12% skill CDs" is adjusted to "Speed up 30% skill CDs".
- Reduced the skill CDs for Speedy Cooldown: Potentiator from "48s" to "36s".
New Insane-Quality Gear
In the mid-season update of S2, we will introduce a new Insane-quality gear: Banaddur the Magic Greatsword. After the update, you can head to the Ruined Citadel and defeat the Black Archknight for a chance to obtain it. The exclusive Fatebound effect of this gear is Dark Whispers: Domination which removes cooldown or usage limit for Dark Whispers. It also features a fixed Fatebound effect of Lifesteal and a modifier of "Additional Dark Damage +30%".

Gachapon Dispenser Pool Refreshed
New Gachapon Skins
In this update, we will refresh the Gachapon Dispenser pool. The skinline Knightfall will be available soon! New back accessories, weapon skins, and other items will be added to the Gachapon Dispenser. Old items will be removed and will no longer be available for draws.

We are also introducing two new packs: the Midnight Novice Pack and the Knightfall Pack. The details of the packs are as follows:
Midnight Novice Pack
- Price: 120 Fish Chips

Friendly Reminder: The Initiate's Mechacrisis Bundle and Dynamic Dynamo Bundle will be discontinued and no longer available for purchase starting at 15:00 (UTC+8) on June 3, 2024.
In-Game Optimizations
Buff Bar Limit Extension
In this update, we will expand the Buff bar limit from 12 to 24, allowing you to better track Buff triggers and effects during your adventures.

Skill Button Operation Optimization
We will optimize the operation of skills that can be cast consecutively (such as Dreadknight's Dark Maelstrom and Warliege's Bounding Shield). When you hold down the skill button, the skill can be continuously cast.
Reminder: This optimization does not apply to the normal attack button or skills that automatically trigger under specific conditions.
New Gameplay: Projection Playground
The order has found a hidden lab with projection devices beneath the moon's surface. Fight to shut down these devices and activate the Mysterious Device in the lab's center, then fight along with Tristan II to defeat the final boss.
You will be under special suppression in the lab. Defeating Monster Projectors will drop projection chips, which, once collected, enhance your abilities briefly in the Projection Playground while also improving Computability and parsing speed. These collected chips will be converted into chip rewards, with extra rewards given upon clearing the Projection Playground.
