How to Reach the Tower Top
Unlocking
The Terminus Ixion: Tower Top gameplay unlocks after you complete the Kernel Subspace story. You can tackle this challenge solo or with friends. Given the dangers at the Tower Top, teaming up for a multiplayer experience is highly recommended!
Difficulty Adjustment
The difficulty of Terminus Ixion: Tower Top scales with your game difficulty; higher difficulty means a tougher challenge. Additionally, Sophoract's power causes intense Telemetric Suppression, affecting you throughout. You can't use your equipment's Computability for parsing directly, only to slow the decline in parsing progress.
How to Complete the Tower Top Challenge
Stage 1: Disable the Charging Device and Destroy the Turrets
Charging Device
The charging device driven by the Sophoract is charging the Mothership and gradually increasing the intensity of Telemetric Suppression to reduce the parsing progress. When the parsing progress drops to 0%, a destructive assault will be launched. Be sure to stop the charging!
Defense Turrets
The Charging Device supplies energy to the two turrets on the top of the tower at the same time. To deactivate the turret's shield, you must physically block its energy supply, though prolonged exposure will increase your vulnerability! After you destroy two turrets, the charging device will be damaged due to a short circuit.
*When one turret is destroyed, the charging device and the remaining turret will enter a rage mode, be careful!
Tips From VarE
Avoid Staying in the Current for Too Long
You will become more vulnerable in the current, and your stats will decrease. This vulnerability can stack, so avoid staying in it for too long!
Dodge Attacks
Both the turrets and the Charging Device will attack you with lasers and barrages. Their combined attacks cover a large area, so stay alert and dodge!
After you destroy both turrets, the Charging Device will short-circuit and explode, revealing its core—the Ninth Fragment of the Sophoract. As you investigate, the Alien Mothership takes off into space, leading to the next stage.
Stage 2: Board the Alien Mothership and Destroy the Core
In this stage, your goal is to destroy the Mothership Core and reclaim the Sophoract! The Mothership Core is shielded and must be damaged using missiles from the missile launchers on the deck.
Tips From VarE
Avoid Falling
Stay near cooling units to avoid being thrown into space. If you fall off the ship, you will take a percentage of max life as damage, but you’ll be pulled back and be immune for a short time.
Manage the Mothership's Attacks
The mothership fires high-damage lasers with a knockback effect. Each time the core’s shield breaks, the mothership’s systems malfunction, and the missile launchers cease firing. The core regains its shield as the mothership’s life drops by 25%.
Dodge Cooling Units' Attacks
The cooling units emit damaging heat and can knock you back. Keep your distance to avoid damage.
Despite the formidable defense systems of the Alien Mothership, VarE glimpses a crucial detail from shared memories: "The mothership uses only one type of attack at a time. Before each attack, the red dot below the mothership will blink continuously in the center. Use this to time your moves and break the core!"
Rewards
Clear Rewards
After completing the challenge, you will have 4 chances to open the Projection Chest to get rewards. Use Holokeys to unlock them and get rewards such as chips and EsoCircuits!

*The daily rewards reset at 04:00 (UTC+8). The quantity of cybermodded equipment and EsoCircuits depends on the level difficulty.
First Clear Rewards
Additionally, completing each difficulty for the first time will earn you a valuable special reward. VarE can now join you as a companion in your adventures! Can this little robot handle the humid and muggy conditions of the Searcrest Fathoms?
