Daily Invitation Introduction: Boss Brawls Await!
Soul Knight Prequel will undergo a hot update for the mid-season content on March 7, 2024, at 15:00 (UTC+8). The update will introduce the new gameplay Daily Invitation. For more details on other updates, just head over to the Mid-Season Update Highlights for S1 Xandu.
Without further ado, let's dive right into the main topic!
What is the Daily Invitation?
The Daily Invitation is a new gameplay feature introduced in Season 1. It is available for both seasonal and permanent characters. However, it is exclusive to characters in Challenging Mode and higher. The Daily Invitation cannot be stored in the Storage Chest or Basement. The invite logs the bosses you have bested in the previous clashes. When the record is complete, you can enter a unique dungeon area from the town, allowing you to challenge all recorded bosses at once and earn substantial rewards.
Under the same account, you can enter the unique dungeon area up to 3 times per day using the Daily Invitation. After entering the unique dungeon area 3 times, any remaining unused Daily Invitations will display "This item is no longer valid." Additionally, defeating bosses will no longer drop Daily Invitation.
Each invitation expires at 4:00 AM the next day. Unused Daily Invitations that have expired can't log bosses or can't be used for entering the unique dungeon area. You can either delete them or wait for the next day to defeat bosses and obtain new invitations.
How to obtain the Daily Invitation?
For both seasonal and permanent characters, playing in Challenging Mode or higher difficulty in single-player/co-op mode guarantees a 100% drop rate for the Daily Invitation upon defeating any boss in any dungeon area. If your backpack already has an unrecorded Daily Invitation, or you've already entered the unique dungeon area three times today, no additional invitations will drop. Moreover, if your invitation record is complete but you haven't used it yet, new invitations won't drop.
How to log the bosses on your Daily Invitation?
After obtaining the Daily Invitation, when you challenge any boss on any difficulty level and in any dungeon area, the invitation will record the name of that boss. Even if you are in multiplayer mode, defeating a boss will still be logged in the Daily Invitation. Whether it's an Elite Boss or a regular Boss, the invitation will only display the name of the defeated boss.
For example, defeating both the Elite Triumvirite Megalith: Fire and the Triumvirite Megalith: Fire will be recorded as Triumvirite Megalith: Fire in the Daily Invitation.
Each Daily Invitation can record up to 5 bosses (including duplicates of the same name). When the Daily Invitation shows "Killed: 5/5," defeating any boss will not be recorded in that invitation. No new Daily Invitations will drop until this full recorded invitation is used to complete the unique dungeon area challenge.
Note: Bosses that drop the Daily Invitation will not be recorded in the dropped Daily Invitation. For instance, if you defeat the Boar King and receive a Daily Invitation, the Boar King will not be recorded in that invitation, showing "Killed: 0/5." Only when you defeat the Boar King again will it be recorded.
Double bosses in new Helxar-touched dungeon difficulty 7-8:
When you encounter double bosses in Helxar-touched dungeons at difficulty levels 7 and 8, if there is already a Daily Invitation in your backpack, the bosses will be recorded in the order they are defeated. If the Daily Invitation has two or more empty slots, both bosses will be recorded. If there is only one empty slot, only the first defeated boss will be recorded. If the record of the Daily Invitation is already complete, neither of the double bosses will be recorded, and no new invitation will drop.
If you encounter double bosses and have not entered the unique dungeon area three times yet, and there is no unexpired invitation in the backpack, defeating the first boss will drop an invitation (without recording the boss's name). After picking up the Daily Invitation, defeating the second boss will record its name. If you defeat the first boss but don't pick up the invitation, and then defeat the second boss before picking it up, the invitation won't record the name of the second boss.
Bosses spawning during specific periods and difficulty levels:
After obtaining the Daily Invitation, you can challenge specific bosses (e.g., Elven Mandragora, Giant Golden Snapclaw, etc.) during the conditions of their spawn (such as difficulty level and regional time). The recording follows the rules mentioned above.
Season 1 Boss Spawn Time
Bosses with special settings:
Example: Before heading to Geolithic Hills, the invitation has only one empty slot. It will only record the first defeated Triumvirite Megalith. If you defeat Triumvirite Megalith: Thunder, the invitation will only record Triumvirite Megalith: Thunder, Triumvirite Megalith: Fire, and Triumvirite Megalith: Ice won't be recorded.
How to use the Daily Invitation?
Once you have recorded five bosses, you can use the Daily Invitation to enter the unique dungeon area in Chillstead Village or the Lumen Enclave. Daily Invitation can’t be accessed in a multiplayer game, accessible only in the town.
Note: If you enter the unique dungeon area fewer than 3 times on a given day and accidentally delete the Daily Invitation (regardless of whether the record is complete), you can re-enter the dungeon areas, defeat bosses, and the boss will drop a new Daily Invitation. This process doesn't consume the limited entries to the unique dungeon area, but you will need to re-record the bosses.
Unique dungeon area
How to enter the unique dungeon area?
After using the Daily Invitation, a portal will appear on the town's ground. Interacting with the portal will allow entry into the unique dungeon area. It is not possible to access the unique dungeon area in multiplayer mode.
Regardless of the difficulty level at which you use the Daily Invitation to record boss names, all bosses in the unique dungeon area are Elite Bosses. Additionally, upon entering the unique dungeon area, two Elite Bosses will initially spawn, followed by the appearance of one new Elite Boss every 5 seconds until all five Elite Bosses are present. The challenge difficulty of Elite Bosses in unique dungeon areas is higher than that of Elite Bosses in normal dungeon areas.
If you exit the unique dungeon area, it is considered a challenge failure, and you won't receive rewards. The used Daily Invitation will disappear from your backpack.
Upon successfully completing a unique dungeon area, a Furnace will appear for you to dismantle the equipment, and organize your backpack. In the unique dungeon area, the Catalogue All Misc function in the backpack remains effective.
Rewards in the unique dungeon area
After conquering all bosses in the special dungeon area, you'll receive additional rewards. Besides the usual loot from Elite Bosses, there's a chance to get items like Weathered Hephaestites and Lydites. Keep an eye out, as the Statue of Reforging could make a surprise appearance.
Note: The Statue of Reforging in unique dungeon areas can't reroll modifiers.
